Field effect transistor with integrated microfluidic channel as pH sensor
This paper presents an original design of chemical sensors with an integrated microfluidic channel. Targeted applications are pH-meters devices. The integration of the microfluidic channel allows decreasing the volume required for each measurement. The sensing part of the device consists of a field effect transistor with a suspended gate directly performed above the fluidic channel. Chemicals u...
متن کاملIon-sensitive field effect transistor as a pH sensor.
In this work, both the static and dynamic behaviors as well as the signal read-out circuits of ISFETs were studied. The standard NMOS structure in conjunction with the insulator-electrolyte capacitor was used to model the ISFET under study. The site-binding theory was incorporated to describe the chemistry occurring at the insulator/electrolyte interface. The mechanism of the threshold voltage ...
متن کاملAn anion sensor based on an organic field effect transistor.
We propose an organic field effect transistor (OFET)-based sensor design as a new and innovative platform for anion detection. OFETs could be fabricated on low-cost plastic film substrates using printing technologies, suggesting that OFETs can potentially be applied to practical supramolecular anion sensor devices in the near future.
متن کاملAll-optical fiber anemometer based on laser heated fiber Bragg gratings.
A fiber-optic anemometer based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) is presented. A short section of cobalt-doped fiber was utilized to make a fiber-based "hot wire" for wind speed measurement. Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) were fabricated in the cobalt-doped fiber using 193 nm laser pulses to serve as localized temperature sensors. A miniature all-optical fiber anemometer is constructed by using two F...
متن کاملTiO2/Graphene oxide nanocomposite as an ideal NO gas sensor: A density functional theory study
We performed a density functional theory investigation on the structural and electronic properties of pristine and nitrogen-doped TiO2/Graphene oxide nanocomposites as the adsorbents for the removal of toxic NO molecules in the environment. We presented the most stable adsorption configurations and examined the interaction of NO molecule with these doped and undoped nanocomposites. It turns out...
